Who is NLGJA

NLGJA Chicago membership work in media and education throughout Metro Chicago, Wisconsin and Iowa.  Members employers include the Chicago Tribune, Fox Chicago News, ABC 7 Chicago, Chicago Free Press, Northwestern University, WREZ Television to name a few.

Our Mission

Founded in 1990, NLGJA is an organization of journalists, media professionals, educators and students working from within the news industry to foster fair and accurate coverage of LGBT issues.  NLGJA opposes workplace bias and provides professional development to its members.
